FAQs

What is Direct Access?

In the state of California, Physical Therapists have direct access. This means we are allowed to evaluate and treat a patient without a doctor's prescription. However, for continued treatment greater than 45 days or 12 visits, whichever comes first. A physical therapy referral from your MD, DPM, DO or ND is required. Also, dependent on your insurance carrier, some insurances also require a physical therapy prescription showing medical necessity to receive possible reimbursement.

How do I schedule an appointment with your clinic?

Feel free to call or email us. We will get you scheduled either way.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! We offer a free 30-minute consult in person or over the phone. Come see us, speak with us and hear what we can do for you. We answer any questions you may have and give you a taste of what an experience is like here at Beyond Integrative PT.

Do you take insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider for all commercial PPO insurances including but not limited to Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna and United Healthcare. If you have out of network benefits you may receive partial or full reimbursement depending on your plan. It is recommended you call your insurance carrier directly to find out.

Why are you out of network with Insurance?

Eliminating a 3rd party who dictates what they think you need in your healing. This also allows for consistent hour-long sessions with your DPT always focused on quality of care instead of quantity. What you receive is also not just the hour session you spend in the office, it is the time, dedication and communication between you and your therapist between visits as well.

Do you provide a super bill?

Yes, if you have a PPO insurance. You will receive a digital super bill emailed to you after each weekly session. Each bill will reflect appropriate diagnostic codes, procedural codes, and charges required for insurance submission.

What are your payment and billing options?

We accept Zelle, cash, credit card, debit, HSA (Health Savings Account) debit cards or check.

Are home visits the same as home health?

They are not. Our home visits are considered out-patient physical therapy and the location is your home instead of the office. Home health physical therapy is offered through an agency and prescribed from your doctor if you recently were discharged from a hospital or skilled nursing home facility.

Where do you offer home visits?

Along the coastal cities of Los Angeles. Please see our rates page. We are unable to service the valleys, mid-city and LA proper due to time constraints.
